Luciana Paoluzzi was born in Rome and raised with her family. Her father was Manlio Paoluzzi who was an Italian officer of the army. Maria Rota Paoluzzi was one of the mistresses of Benito Mussolini. There is no information about her having siblings. Luciana is the sole woman to have graduated in her high school in Milan. Luciana also studied nautical engineering there. Her modeling career began within two years. Then, it was changed after she got her first acting role by accident during a visit to her father's Rome acquaintance.
