David Muir (born August 25 1948) is an American journalist anchor, reporter and anchor. The most famous of his work is for World News Tonight. With its animated gestures and intense videos of gossip about celebrities The show is now America's most-watched newscast. Made In America, his Emmy award-winning show, is one of his other achievements. Before joining ABC World News Tonight, He was the main substitute for his predecessor Diane Sawyer. His reports on primetime on ABC News include Breaking Point: Heroin in America, Flashpoint: Refugees in America. He's traveled the world, reporting on news from Gaza Egypt Iran Somalia Japan Peru Ukraine Haiti & the Gulf of Mexico. He has received multiple Emmy Awards Edward R. Murrow Awards and honors of The Associated Press.
