Ina-Garten

Ina Garten is an acclaimed American cookery book author and Emmy Award-winning host on Food Networks current oldest show Barefoot Contessa that began in 2002 and has aired 27 seasons until 2020. Ina began her career by working in the White House, writing the nuclear energy budget and other policy papers. Although she found her job to be stimulating intellectually, eventually she stopped her pursuit and purchased a small specialty store called Barefoot Contessa. The store was a success for 18 years. the business extremely profitable prior to selling it and grabbing a pen and writing her first cookbook. A number of other books and magazine articles followed. Between them the Food Network show was also an enormous success. She sells many products, from ingredients for food preparation to kitchenware, storage and even cooking equipment. Ina herself, a self-taught chef and has not attended a culinary school or in an establishment. She is an easy cook, and also for her entertaining manner. Some of her most popular recipes include the Skillet-Roasted lemon Chicken Beatty's Chocolate Cake Mac and Cheese Beef Bourguignon Balsamic-Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Lemon Bars.
